Should I wear a costume?

This is a fun event with a Carnival theme and we encourage everyone to dress up!

When and where will registration take place?

Registration will be at Meerendal Wine Estate on 11 October 2019 from 10h00 – 19h00. Here you will receive your race number, awesome goody bag and additional details of the event.

What batch am I in?

Batch emails will be sent through to you the Wednesday before the event from SASeeding. Please be on the lookout for the mail.

Where do I change my batch?

You can contact to change your batch.

Can I still run the marathon if I'm under 18?

No. Only 18 years and older can compete in a marathon race. However, you may still enter for the 5km or 10km categories.

Race day

What time will the race start?

The race will start at 07h00 at Meerendal Wine Estate. Each distance will start at different times, with batches of 5-minute increments in-between.

07h00 – Marathon runners

07h30 – Half-Marathon runners

08h00 – 10km runners

08h30 – 5km runners

Where is the start?

What is the cut-off time?

We don’t have a cut-off time, although there will be serious runners, the aim of the race is to have a fun day out.

Is there a prize giving?

We do have a prize giving at 13h00 at Meerendal Wine Estate.

Do I need to drink the wine at every point, or can I skip?

We’re not sure who wants to skip these amazing wine points, but we do understand if you feel a little tipsy after passing by a few of them. Each wine-point will equipped with both wine and water.


When will results be available?

Directly after the race you will receive a SMS with your results. You will also be able to find the results here.

What is the best hangover remedy?

After the race when the adrenaline and wine start working out of your system, you will definitely feel the hangover emerge. We suggest drinking lots of liquids (water) along with re-hydrate while scrolling through the endless selfies of the day.
